Galera López, Antonio

Antonio Galera López graduated in piano and fl ute at the “Joaquin Rodrigo” Conservatory of his birth city, Valencia (Spain) with honors; attending classes of Victoria Alemany and Adolfo Bueso. He has studied since 2003 at the École Normale de Musique “Alfred Cortot” in Paris (France) with Maestro Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, where he has received the “Diplôme Superieur d’Enseignement - a l’unanimité” with a scholarship granted by Juventudes Musicales de Madrid, award received from Her Majesty Queen Sofi a of Spain. He is now studying for the “Diplôme Superieur d’Execution” supported by a High Specialization Grant from AIE.
Antonio is a prize-winner of several competitions, including the 2005 “Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe” award. His national career has brought him to perform in important halls and festivals in Spain (Palau de la Música in Valencia, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Palau de la Música Catalana, Auditorio in Zaragoza, Gran Teatre in Elche, Auditorio de Murcia, Festival de Música y Danza de Granada, Auditorio Ciudad de León, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo...) receiving ovations and outstanding reviews – “extraordinary sensibility”, “infallible technique control”, “very rare musicality”.
Promoted by the International Certifi cate of Piano Artists program, under the presidency of Philippe Entremont and the artistic direction of N. Delle-Vigne Fabbri, he has a performing and teaching career in France (Salle Cortot, Schola Cantorum), Belgium (Fondation Bell’Arte), Italy (Conservatorio di Torino), Portugal (Teatro Baltazar Diaz, Funchal), Lituania (Lietuvos muzicos ir teatro akademija, Vilnius paveikslu galerija), Russia (Gogol Museum, Moscow), Canada (Ottawa Tabaret Hall), USA (West End Concert Series New York, Gainesville Steinway Festival, Palm Beach Atlantic International Piano Festival), México (Expresión Musical Artística), Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo, Gran Teatro del Cibao, Santiago de los Caballeros) and Taiwan (Taipei Zhong Shan Hall, Taichung Chung Hsin Concert Hall).
His presentation in America with Mozart’s K595 and Poulenc’s Double Concerto with the OSN in Dominican Republic and the Palm Beach Symphony conducted by Maestro Entremont received rave reviews. He has recently invited him again to perform Mozart K449 with the Orchestre du Conservatoire Américain at the Chateau de Fontainebleau in France. Antonio has also performed as a soloist under conductors Cristóbal Soler, Manuel Galduf, Ramón Tébar, David Jacobs, Lee Hsieh Wen among others.
